What is your personality type; How does knowing help you?

Oh my, perception is everything to solving problems or coming to terms with your feelings. It turns out that I am more judgmental than perceptive. Understand your perceptions and you might know why some people come to you and others seem to avoid you. I am from doing a personality test, the Jung Typology Test and here are my results.

INTJ
Introvert(67%)  iNtuitive(19%)  iNtuitive  Thinking(12%)  Judging(22%)
  • You have distinctive preference of Introversion over Extraversion (67%)
  • You have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (19%)
  • You have slight preference of Thinking over Feeling (12%)
  • You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (22%)

I have always known that am an introvert but that percentage up there seems to have increased. The reason I take such a typology test is because I want to better understand how I make decisions so that I can have more say in negotiations. Recently I realized that negotiations shape your life. If you do badly at turning down a request then you will end up with many friends who need you and very few who will leave their desires, obligations, jobs and interests just to do you a favor. Think about it, take some time.

INTJ - Introverted Intuitive Thinking Judging

I know most of the world population will have an “I” letter starting on their Jung typology test results. I just don’t know much about the other letters. The question is, what does knowing your personality type help you with?

  1. I spent decades administering and leading team leadership and development workshops using the MBTI (Myers Briggs) based on Jung’s personality theory. While helpful it isn’t the end-all. But the applications are interesting!

    1. Julie,

It’s always an empty cup with learning, what’s this now, you telling me that its not all, I thought that was it. Poor me, gotta find those others because I don’t want to let the stones (any) stay unturned.
